Gallows Point Gift & Gourmet has been booking St. John activities and rental cars at Gallows Point for over 16 years.

We are conveniently located in Cruz Bay at the entrance of Gallows Point Resort, and just steps from Lavender Hill, Grande Bay Resort, Battery Hill, Palm Terrance, Coconut Coast Villas, Garden By the Sea, Palm Terrace Villas, and Star Villas - but we welcome everyone to use our free booking services and provisioning.

About the Owners

Shannon and David Pursley purchased Gallows Point Gift & Gourmet in January, 2012, after several years of interest in the business. The business has been thriving under the previous owner, Brenda Woodward for the past 16 years and Brenda passed on a wealth of expertise to us.

Shannon Pursley lived in the Virgin Islands for over 20 years. She is an experienced private chef and caterer and has done an extensive amount of culinary work in resort areas such as Aspen, Colorado; Napa Valley, California; Bilbao, Spain; and Ketchikan, Alaska. In addition, Shannon has a tremendous wealth of marketing experience, primarily in the wine industry, as well as merchandising experience which she gained while working for Francis Ford Coppola's food enterprise. Shannon also has expertise in wedding coordination having worked for Weddings the Island Way, where she planned and executed weddings on St. Thomas and St. John. Shannon and David planned their own wedding on Trunk Bay in 2009. We can provide valuable information, tips and vendors for your perusal.

David Pursley is a Colorado native, and grew up in the Denver metro area, and was actually born in Leadville, which at 10,430 feet in elevation, is North America's highest incorporated city. He has over 20 years of expertise in international shipping and logistics management. David and Shannon met in Denver, Colorado. Both David and Shannon have an abundance of knowledge of island activities, beaches and restaurants. This knowledge will help ensure you have a great vacation.

How Mask became the Offical “Mask-cot” of Gallows Point Gourmet

Mask was adopted by the previous owners during Hurricane Marilyn in 1995, and has not only captured our hearts but those of many people, locals and guests alike. He has become the “Mask-cot” of the property and a friend to many new and returning guests.

Just this year Mask made friends with a vet visiting St. John, and she reported that he is in great shape for a 15 - 16 year old feline, so he must be doing something right!

Mask is definitely one of the most photographed cats on island.
